An elderly couple in North Vancouver were facing big life changes as the husband was gradually going blind.In an effort to make his path easier and circulation simpler we proposed a circular path on lower floor where handrails and lighting along the hallway to make his journey simpler.

The new galley kitchen would be opened up and induction oven with voice activation as well as pulldown cabinets to reach the kitchenware.

Sliding door and tile flooring are functional additions to the interior as well as a standalone gastove to keep it warm and intimate.

Differentiating between the rooms using various flooring and wall textures makes it easy for a sight impaired to navigate. Lighting along handrails and walls help light the way to the washroom at night.
